FINAL DAY RECAP – LEXUS TRESTLES PRO 2025

FINAL DAY RECAP – LEXUS TRESTLES PRO 2025

Yago Dora Lands Historic Win at Lower Trestles
Brazil’s Yago Dora delivered a career-defining performance at Finals Day of the 2025 Lexus Trestles Pro, taking down Japan’s Kanoa Igarashi in electrifying fashion. Dora opened the final with a massive 9.53 air reverse, then backed it up with an 8.37 to lock in a dominant 17.90 heat total.

This marks Dora’s first CT win at Trestles and his second event victory of the 2025 season, after a win in Portugal earlier in the year. On waves in the five-to-seven-foot range, Dora’s aerial attack was unmatched and placed him firmly in the world title conversation.

Women’s Final: Bettylou Shines Bright

Hawaiʻi’s Bettylou Sakura Johnson also claimed her second win of the season, overcoming Australia’s Molly Picklum with style and power. With a 17.00 two-wave total, Johnson controlled the final from start to finish, combining speed and critical turns in the glassy afternoon conditions.

Johnson now joins the upper echelon of the rankings, showing she’s not just a contender—but possibly a favorite—for the 2025 world title.
