Australian Highlights and Challenges

While no Australian surfers reached the finals, Isabella Nichols stood out by winning the inaugural GWM Aussie Treble, awarded for the best overall performance across the Gold Coast, Bells Beach, and Margaret River events. Her achievements include a win at Bells Beach and quarter-final appearances at the other two events, earning her fourth place in the global standings and a new car.

Conversely, veteran surfer Sally Fitzgibbons faced disappointment, missing the mid-season cut for the third consecutive year. Despite leading most of her round-of-16 heat, she was overtaken in the final moments, resulting in a drop to 15th in the rankings and exclusion from the main tour’s next season.
